An actual piece of stone from Blarney Castle in County Cork, Ireland. Embedded in a wall of the old Fitzgerald Casino, it is directly on Virginia St. It is one of the rare few pieces let out of Ireland. It was dedicated on March 17th, 1988 by the Northern Nevada Chapter of the Sons of Erin. Many still believe giving the stone a rub will bring luck.The myth of the Blarney Stone is that any person who kisses the stone will be endowed with great eloquence. This is a free installation on the street in Reno.
