She helped build the software behind Vikram-1, now, this IIT Madras learner is pursuing her next dream abroad

After contributing as an embedded software engineer to Skyroot Aerospace's Vikram-1, India's first private orbital rocket mission, IIT Madras BS Programme learner Spatika Prasad is set to pursue a master's degree at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands. She worked on mission-critical flight software, pre-launch systems and simulations that supported the launch. Her journey highlights the growing importance of interdisciplinary skills, continuous learning and emerging opportunities in India's expanding private space sector.
